Wearing the famous number 9 jersey, the experienced forward has brought leadership, attacking quality and valuable experience to the Chicken Inn squad as the club continues its journey in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

At 31 years old, Chikuhwa understands that football is not only about natural talent. It is about discipline, professionalism and maintaining the right mindset both on and off the pitch. Those qualities have allowed him to continue competing at the highest level of Zimbabwean football.

Before arriving at Chicken Inn, Chikuhwa built an impressive career across several clubs, creating a reputation as one of the country’s reliable goalscorers.

His journey began at Tsholotsho FC, where he played an important role in the club’s historic rise to the Premier Soccer League. During their first season in the top flight in 2015, Chikuhwa announced himself on the national stage by becoming the club’s leading scorer with eight goals.

He later moved to Botswana, where he continued developing his goalscoring reputation. During his time at Black Forest FC, Security Systems FC and Miscellaneous FC, the striker consistently found the back of the net, finishing as a top scorer at each of those clubs.

His most productive spell came at Miscellaneous FC, where after overcoming registration delays, he produced an outstanding run of form, scoring 11 goals in just nine matches and finishing the season as the club’s top scorer.

After returning to Zimbabwe, Chikuhwa joined BR Highlanders, where his performances quickly attracted attention. He scored nine goals in the first half of the 2019/20 season before earning a return to his boyhood club, Highlanders FC.

At Highlanders, Chikuhwa reached another level. He became one of the club’s leading attacking figures and achieved a major milestone in 2022 when he became the first Bosso player since Knox Mutizwa in 2015 to score 10 or more league goals in a season.

His finest individual campaign came in 2024, when he produced a remarkable 17-goal season, winning the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Golden Boot and finishing as Soccer Star of the Year runner-up. That season confirmed his status as one of the league’s most dangerous attacking players.

Following that outstanding campaign, Chikuhwa joined Scottland FC in 2025. However, opportunities were limited, and after struggling for consistent game time, he later moved to Chicken Inn, initially on loan before making the move permanent.

His arrival at Chicken Inn brought immediate impact. During his loan spell, Chikuhwa scored three goals as the team battled under pressure and fought for important points. His experience, movement and ability to lead the line provided the squad with an important attacking option during a challenging period.

In the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, Chikuhwa has continued to contribute for the Gamecocks. After Matchday 21, the experienced forward had made seven starts, with most of his appearances coming from the bench as he provided an attacking threat whenever called upon. He has scored two goals so far this season and continues to work hard to help the team achieve its objectives.

Beyond statistics, Chikuhwa’s contribution has also been felt through his experience and professionalism. As one of the senior figures in the squad, he continues to set an example for younger players through his approach to training, discipline and preparation.

For Chikuhwa, football remains a journey of continuous improvement. His message about discipline reflects the mentality that has carried him through different challenges and allowed him to remain competitive for more than a decade.
